The TLG1180 is the world’s first CMOS single-chip ISDB-Tb + analog mobile TV solution for the Latin America market. The TLG1180 revolutionizes the existing market for mobile ISDB-Tb with the integration of an H.264 video decoder in the chip. This innovation enables ISDB-Tb to be added as a feature on low-cost phone platforms in which the mobile phone baseband processor does not have embedded H.264 decoding capability, more than 80% of phone models in the market today. This dramatically expands the types and price points of phone models capable of delivering digital broadcast TV, bringing digital ISDB-Tb to the mass consumer in affordable phone models.
